LMC also has three short term diversion beds that serve as an alternative to inpatient hospitalization and/or as a resource that hospitals may use to shorten inpatient stays.

What in the world is an Intensive Residential Treatment Service (IRTS)?!

The Intensive Residential Treatment Services (IRTS) is a specialized treatment program under the direction of a Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) who ensures that services are delivered by a team of professionals who have the qualifications and skills necessary to meet the needs of residents and promote their recovery. The QMHP provides weekly group staff supervision to discuss issues and review residents’ progress in meeting their treatment plan goals.

The cornerstone of IRTS is Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Residents are required to attend weekly DBT skills training, application, and coaching groups, and are encouraged to practice the skills they have learned on a daily basis. Residents also attend DBT individual counseling sessions provided by an onsite therapist. An onsite nurse is available to residents regarding medical needs
