Community Support Caseworker - Bollinger County

Community Support Case Worker / Case Manager


Location: Marble Hill, MO-Bollinger County
Full Time: Non-Exempt
Work Hours: Monday-Friday: 8:00am - 4:30pm. Some evenings may be required as necessary dependent upon agency and client need.

Pay Range: $18.00 - 20.40/hour - dependent upon prior experience


Community Counseling Center is looking for individuals who are passionate about helping others. The Community Support Caseworker is someone who operates from a client-centered, strength's based approach, and who understands the importance of supports in Mental Health. As the CSC, you would need to have great communication and organizational skills, be comfortable with working with a diverse population who suffers from various mental or behavioral health issues, and who enjoys being out and supporting our community and their mental health needs.


The Program
Community Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center (CPRC) is a program designed for adults and children with disabilities in social role functioning and daily living skills. Program staff work closely with clients in a variety of community settings to provide wide-range case management services and support in/through therapy to promote recovery.

The Job

You would be responsible for the delivery of community support services for assigned clients within the Community Psychiatric Rehabilitation Center. The bulk of this position would be spent out in the community such as in client homes, or at residential centers. Typically, you would work with 20-25 clients and meet with them on a weekly basis.

Essential Functions

  1. Provide community support services to children and adult clients enrolled in CPRC program.
  2. Maintain a caseload as assigned including in the community and during hospitalizations.
  3. Document all interactions with clients in adherence to agency guidelines and complete all documentation prior to the agency specified deadline.
  4. Provide training/education to clients in daily living skills.
  5. Monitor completion of treatment plan goals and objectives and maintain contact with treatment team in regard to progress and any concerns.
  6. Refer to appropriate resources within the community to assist clients in maintaining/improving their functionality and to develop a personal support system.
  7. Document according to clinical policies and procedures, DMH, CARF, and any other federal or state program per agency standards.

How Success is Measured:

  1. Direct Service: Consistency in meeting with your clients to provide services and to ensure their needs are met (typically ~ 24 half-hour contacts/week)
  2. Documentation: Providing quality, thorough, and concise documentation. Ensuring that your documentation is completed within the designated timeframe and that your Initial/Quarterly/Annual checklists are completed.
  3. Communication: Communicating effectively with your clients, co-workers, supervisor, and treatment team members.
  4. Time Management: Ensuring that you are not only being on time for all scheduled meetings/supervisions, but also to client appointments and managing your time in reference to your documentation.

Minimum Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field (see below),or;
    • Social Work, Psychology, Nursing, Criminal Justice, Recreational Therapy, Human Development and Family Studies, Counseling, Child Development, Gerontology, Sociology, Human Services, Behavioral Science, and Rehabilitation Counseling.
  • An individual with any four year combination of higher education and qualifying experience, or;
  • An individual with any four year degree and two years of qualifying experience, or;
  • An individual with four years of qualifying experience, or;
  • Master's Degree in a human services field

Qualifying experience must include delivery of service to individuals with mental illness, substance abuse disorders, or developmental disabilities.

  • Must hold or obtain by start date, MO Class E Driver’s License (Class D for IL Residents), and proof of continuous auto insurance. Must also meet CCC’s Motor Vehicle Record standards policy and have reliable transportation.
  • Travel in own vehicle is required.
